Jimmy Kimmel Live! has an impressive track record of bands shutting down the famed Hollywood Blvd. Among the acts to perform to 10,000 fans on the boulevard were Coldplay, Katy Perry, Audioslave, Jay-Z and Depeche Mode.
What you’d assume to be a monumental task is nothing short of a well-oiled machine says Jimmy Kimmel Live!’s Music Producer Scott Igoe. “We get a lot of support from the City, we have a crack setup team that comes in the night before,” continues Igoe. “They know the staging, the lighting. We have a great security presence and the audience is well coordinated by 1iota. Everyone is pretty well versed in what they have to do to make it all work.”
